Health lecture to focus on palliative care

Palliative care is a critical step when treating patients who suffer from cancer or chronic disease.
Experts will discuss palliative care and how to improve a patient’s quality of life during a free community event at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences.
“How Can We Best Cope with Chronic Disease or Cancer?” is set for Tuesday, February 25, at 7 p.m.
Panelists include Ruth Ann Brintnall, associate professor of nursing; James Fahner, associate professor at MSU College of Human Medicine and chief of pediatric hematology/oncology at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital; and Giselle Saulnier Sholler, associate professor at MSU CHM and pediatric hematology/oncology specialist.
