Mary Idema Pew Library awarded in Best Projects competition
The Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons
recently received an Award of Merit in a competition that honors the
best construction projects and the companies that design and build them.
Engineering News Record (ENR), an online publication that
provides news, analysis, commentary and data that can help
construction industry professionals do their jobs more effectively,
organizes the Regional Best Projects 2014 competition. The Mary Idema
Pew Library received its award in the Midwest’s Higher
Education/Research category.
A panel of industry leaders judge eligible entries based on a
set of criteria, including safety, innovation and design
functionality. Aside from higher education, other categories in the
competition range from airports and bridges to parks and hotels.
The Mary Idema Pew Library will be honored at an awards
breakfast in Chicago on November 20 and profiled in the November 17
edition of ENR Midwest.
