The second annual Student Veterans of America 5k run/walk will take
place March 29.

The campus community is invited to participate in a 5k run/walk on
the Allendale Campus that will benefit veterans in West Michigan.
Hosted by Grand Valley’s Student Veterans of America chapter,
the event is free and open to the public. Registration starts at 9
a.m. at the Cook Carillon Tower; the race begins at 10 a.m.
Participants are asked to bring donations that will be given to
homeless veterans who are served by Health Care for Homeless Veterans.
Items needed include new socks, hats, gloves and undergarments.
This is the second year the group is hosting a 5k walk and run
in an effort to support veterans and raise awareness about the needs
of homeless veterans.
