For their capstone project, students from the Kirkhof College of Nursing compiled resources in Grand Rapids' Heartside neighborhood to aid homeless people.

The students in Nancy Schoofs’ Professional Nursing course were completing their community health clinical experience. Schoofs, associate professor of nursing, said after their assessment, students created a resource board for the Mel Trotter Day Center. The board indicates where Heartside residents can go for a shower, meals, counseling and other services.

They presented their research December 4 at Mel Trotter Ministries.
