Students sign construction beam
A group of students and faculty members from the sciences, along with President Haas, signed a steel beam at the construction site of the new Science Laboratory Building March 27. Construction of the 151,000-square-foot, four-story building is progressing on Campus Drive next to the Fieldhouse on the Allendale Campus.
The new building will expand Grand Valley’s ability to educate
students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The
building will feature nine classrooms, 15 teaching laboratories, 14
faculty and student research laboratories, study spaces, offices and a
greenhouse, providing much needed space for students, especially those
pursuing degrees in science and health professions.
Construction is expected to completed in fall 2015.
