About 100 volunteers from the campus community are still needed to
help when Grand Valley hosts the NCAA Division II Track and Field
Championships in mid-May.
Head coach Jerry Baltes said more than 750 student athletes from
around the country will participate in the championships, set for May
22-24 at the Grand Valley track and field stadium. Co-host for the
championships is the West Michigan Sports Commission.
Volunteers are needed beginning May 18. Possible opportunities
include equipment assembly, facilities set-up, safety clerk for throws
area, pit supervisor, ushers, shuttle drivers for officials, assisting
coaches and other roles.
People who are interested can visit
