Voting is open for the annual “PIC Pics,” a photo contest for students and alumni who have participated in a study abroad program.

From more than 1,000 photos from 127 students, the contest has been narrowed to 304 photos. The work of finalists is currently on display in the Red Wall Gallery in Lake Ontario Hall. Voters must cast ballots in person at the Padnos International Center, LOH, room 130, by September 12.

The campus community is invited to an open house to celebrate PIC Pics on Wednesday, September 10 from 4-6 p.m. at the Red Wall Gallery.

Forty countries are represented in the competition, divided into categories: My Classroom Abroad, Getting Lost, People, Great Outdoors, Celebration, Tradition and Ritual, and Lakers Abroad.

Prizes for the winners include an iPad Mini and Laker apparel. Photos from the top 12 winners will be printed and displayed by the GVSU Art Gallery and later become part of the university’s permanent collection.
