The 2014 Winter Career Fair will take place Tuesday, February 11,
from 1-5 p.m., at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids.
Nearly 200 companies will be at the fair, offering more than
8,000 opportunities for students and alumni. The Health Career Expo,
featuring health care employers, will be held in conjunction with the fair.
New this year is the Career Exploration, which will give
students time to talk with companies informally and to learn about the
fair. It will take place at 12:15 p.m. at DeVos Place Convention Center.
“It is important for students to have face-to-face conversation
with employers. It doesn’t happen very often in this day and age with
technology and online application processes, so this is a good
opportunity for students and alumni,” said Susan Proctor, employer
development manager for Grand Valley’s Career Center.
