Active Commute Week begins Monday

Faculty and staff members are encouraged to bike to work or take public transportation during Active Commute Week, which runs May 11-15.

Participants who use alternate transportation are encouraged to track their commutes using the West Michigan Rideshare tool. Grand Valley is competing against other organizations, and prizes will be awarded.

Bike to Work Day is May 15, from 7-9 a.m. Pit stops along the Rapid bus route No. 50 are planned by Health and Wellness, click here for a map.

Participants in Active Commute Week are encouraged to attend the fourth annual Handlebar Happy House, May 18 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids. The winners of the commute challenge will be announced.
