Alumnus will share journey in Syria

Alumnus Jared Kohler is a photojournalist who has extensively covered the refugee crisis in Syria as that country is in the midst of a civil war.

Kohler, whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor and elsewhere, will give a presentation on Tuesday, March 24, that will reveal the human and political sides of the crisis.

Sponsored by the Padnos International Center and the International Relations Program, the event will begin at 1 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2204.

Kohler will also give a presentation on Monday, March 23, 6 p.m. at Aquinas College as a lecturer during the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan’s Great Decisions Series.
