Annis Water Resources Institute to host international group

A delegation with representatives from six countries will take part in a trip August 12 on the D.J. Angus, one of the research vessels operated by Grand Valley State University's Annis Water Resources Institute.

The trip is part of an excursion day for the delegation, which includes members of the Regional Center of Expertise for Education for Sustainable Development, which is sponsored by The United Nations University.

The trip on the D.J. Angus is just one of several stops for the delegates during their visit to West Michigan.

A Regional Center of Expertise (RCE) is a network of organizations mobilized to educate on sustainable development in its community. The Grand Rapids RCE has dedicated its work to education and the advancement of sustainability principles among governmental organizations, businesses, higher education and the nonprofit sector.
