Annis Water Resources Institute to offer educational boat cruises
Grand Valley's Annis Water Resources Institute (AWRI) will host two public educational cruises on Muskegon Lake July 15.
Participants will take part in water monitoring and learn about the tools and methods scientists and researchers at AWRI use to help restore freshwater ecosystems.
The research trips will take place aboard the W.G. Jackson research vessel. One cruise will take place from 10 until 11:30 a.m. and the second cruise will take place from 12:30 until 2 p.m.
Both cruises will depart from the dock at AWRI, located at 740 West Shoreline Drive in Muskegon.
Space is limited, and registration is required. To register, call (231) 728-3601 and ask for Roxana.
Due to the nature of the research trips, shoes are required. No seating is available on the boat. Due to limited space, please plan to leave personal belongings such as backpacks, totes, food, etc. in your car.
