Campus Dining will add new food options to two campus restaurants, scheduled to be completed by the start of the fall 2015 semester.

The Marketplace will feature Starbucks and Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, a made-to-order sandwich shop. A soft opening for both spaces will take place in April; they will open to the public May 4.

The former bookstore space in the Kirkhof Center will be renovated to include Panda Express, Subway, and a remodeled Lobby Shop. To accommodate high traffic and allow faster transactions, Subway will expand to serve two lines during peak times. In River Landing, on the lower level the Kirkhof Center, Croutons will move into the former Subway area and Bene will expand to offer more options, including personal pizzas and custom pasta stations.

The renovation in the Kirkhof Center will start April 27 and is scheduled to be completed in fall 2015.

Deb Rambadt, marketing manager for Campus Dining, said the department determines what new food options to bring to Grand Valley in a variety of ways. Staff members look at trends in dining at other campuses, research popular brands, and talk with students to gauge interest in possible food brands.

Debit Dollars, cash, and credit cards will be accepted at the new locations.
