College advice for students sought for special exhibit
Beginning a college career can be an intimidating time for first
year students, but a new exhibit coming to the Mary Idema Pew Library
aims to relieve this stress by offering advice from the Grand Valley community.
Before the “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” exhibit opens in August,
Grand Valley faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to share
advice, reflections, memories and encouraging messages for first year
or new students related to the college experience by filling out this
form: http://goo.gl/forms/3BmZKxHh9N.
“College is a place of endless possibilities in terms of
personal and intellectual growth. Our goals are to provide new
students with a welcoming experience and generate a sense of community
and good will among contributors and exhibit participants,” said Emily
Frigo, University Libraries first year initiatives coordinator.
The deadline for submissions is July 1. For more information,
contact Frigo at [email protected] or (616) 331-7343.
