The Community Reading Project is seeking book suggestions for next year's selection.
Criteria to select a book include having wide appeal for the campus community, moral or humanistic vision and a connection to university mission and values. This year's selection is "Citizen: An American Lyric," by Claudia Rankine. Rankine will visit campus in April for a presentation.
Book suggestions can be sent via email to i[email protected]; the deadline for submission is December 11.
The CRP is sponsored by the Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies, University Libraries, Herrick District Library and the Grand Rapids Community Foundation in addition to many on-campus departments.
