The Midwest Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research Center (MIPERC) will host its second Health Expo on Tuesday, March 24, in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room.

MIPERC is a collaboration between Grand Valley, Michigan State University-College of Human Medicine, Ferris State University, Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners and Kent ISD. The event, with the theme “Sailing to Good Health,” will run from 4-7 p.m.

College students will host booths on subjects that vary from sexual health, healthy relationships and healthy living. Breakout sessions will be hosted by Kids’ Food Basket, Women’s Center and community vendors. Refreshments and prizes will be offered.

Tempest Warfield, a Grand Valley student majoring in public health, said the expo gives students an opportunity to learn and observe how different majors in health professions communicate and collaborate to focus on patient-centered care.
