Hundreds volunteer during COW

Hundreds of Laker alumni, students, faculty and staff members,
friends and family volunteered hundreds of hours of service during the
annual Community Outreach Week, which ended March 28.
The event is sponsored by the Alumni Association and the
Community Service Learning Center.
Projects went global as Lakers who are studying abroad also
volunteered. Becky Byers is a junior studying in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa. She volunteers regularly with a marine bird rehabilitation
center, and at a safe house for children.
