Peace activist to discuss Palestine-Israel conflict
Peace activist Amos Gvirtz will visit campus to lead a discussion
about the Palestine-Israel conflict.
“Don’t Say We Did Not Know” is set for Thursday, April 9, at 6
p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center. The event is LIB 100 approved and
refreshments will be provided.
Gvirtz is a founding member of the Israeli Committee Against
Housing Demolitions and other Israeli peace groups. His weekly emails,
“Don’t Say We Did Not Know,” details incidents, events and government
actions that affect the Palestinian and Bedouin communities in Israel
and Palestine.
The event is supported by Peace M.E.ans, a student organization,
Middle East Studies, and Healing Children of Conflict, a West Michigan
nonprofit organization.
