Pedometer Challenge winners announced

Four faculty and staff members teamed to walk more than 6.6 million steps to win the annual Pedometer Challenge, sponsored by Health and Wellness.

The "Somewhat Faculty Laden" team of Deb Rambadt, from Campus Dining, and Martin Burg, Joshua Stickney and Derek Thomas, from Biomedical Sciences, totaled 6,653,675 steps or 3,326 miles, during the six-week challenge that ended November 20.

Second place was the Records and Registration team of Angela Munford, Aaron Velting, Wanda Isenga and Maria Jaramillo-Gonzalez, who walked 5,724,517 steps or 2,862 miles.

Burg, professor of biomedical sciences, collected the most individual steps: 1,850,243 steps or 925 miles.
