Spin class to benefit Farmers Market

Proceeds from a 90-minute class spin class next week will benefit the GVSU Farmers Market.

Grand Valley spin instructors will lead a session on Tuesday, June 30, from 6:30–8 a.m. in the Fieldhouse Spin Studio. Another session is set for July 1, 4:30–6 p.m.

The cost to participate is $15, register online at www.gvsu.edu/sprout.

• Cooking demonstration

The next cooking demonstration at the Farmers Market is July 1. Jody Vogelzang, registered dietician and assistant professor of public health, will give recipe tips and tricks for fresh and healthy cooking using ingredients right from the market.

The event is sponsored by Human Resources and Grand Valley's Department of Public Health. In case of inclement weather, the demonstration will move to Kirkhof Center, room 2270.
