Students thank donors during GVS(You) Week
More than 600 students wrote thank-you notes during the third annual GVS(You) Week, February 16-20, thanking donors for their support of Grand Valley.
Organized by the Future Alumni Association, the week aims to raise awareness about and celebrate the thousands of donors who support and give to Grand Valley each year. Thank-you notes came from students on the Allendale and Pew Grand Rapids campuses, and from regional centers in Muskegon, Holland and Traverse City.
“Our goal was to make students more aware of how private giving affects campus,” said Julie Jamison, president of FAA. “We wanted them to have the opportunity to express their gratitude to those who give gifts to Grand Valley. Hopefully by seeing how important donors are to the university, students will be inspired to give back and strive to be Lakers for a Lifetime.”
