The Community Reading Project will host a Teaching Circle on the selection, "Citizen," on August 11 at the Alumni House.
"Citizen: An American Lyric," by Claudia Rankine, recounts racial aggressions, intentional or not, that occur daily to people of color.
The Teaching Circle will run from 2-4 p.m. Brian Jbara, director of Integrative Learning and Advising, said the event is a good way to learn about different themes and strategies for teaching the text.
