Entrepreneurs to compete at 5x5

The GVSU 5x5 Competition will feature five groups vying for a $5,000 prize.

Entry for the competition was open to students, faculty and staff members to submit an idea, research project or initiative. The top five, from a public vote, will have five minutes and five presentation slides to pitch their ideas to five judges.

The event will take place Wednesday, March 23, from 5-7 p.m., in the Eberhard Center, room 201. The names of the five teams presenting are Solar Energy Saving Lives, Good Food-Cultivating Community, Taste of the Westside, Your Story, and Fire and Ice.

The five judges are Jeff Shade from Ernst & Young, LLP; Erik Daly from Barnes & Thornburg LLP; Peter Rahrig from Lake Michigan Credit Union; Maddie Cleghorn, president of Student Senate at GVSU; and Mike Czechowskyj from Spectrum Health Innovations.
