Funeral Monday for OT faculty member

Denise Potuznik Meier, affiliate instructor for occupational therapy, died September 22 at her home in Muskegon after a battle with cancer. She was 51.

Meier joined Grand Valley's faculty in 1996, and led occupational therapy students on service learning trips to Guatemala.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 239 W. Clay Ave. in Muskegon. A celebration of life will follow from noon-3 p.m. at Muskegon Country Club, 2801 Lakeshore Drive. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Meier’s name to ARC, Norse Education Fund, or Hearts in Motion.
