GVSU praised for helping make Grand Rapids creative place to live

The city of Grand Rapids has been named "One of the Best Cities for Creatives," by Thrillist. 

Grand Rapids is described as one of the "coolest cities in the Midwest" for its restaurants, festivals, art, theater, affordable housing and close proximity to Lake Michigan. Grand Valley State University is also listed as a reason why Grand Rapids is one of the best places for artists to live. 

Sixteen cities are on the list, including Albuquerque, Nashville, Baltimore, Charleston, Tampa and Austin.
