Judon, other Lakers work out for NFL scouts

Laker lineman Matt Judon and other hopefuls worked out in front of two dozen NFL scouts and coaches March 15 at the Kelly Family Sports Center.

Judon was ranked 91st in a list of "Top 100 NFL Draft Prospects" by Sports Illustrated and is expected by many to be selected in the third or fourth round of the NFL draft. If so, he would become the highest-drafted Grand Valley player.

Judon and his teammates were put through a series of tests and drills by the NFL personnel in attendance.  

Head coach Matt Mitchell and his staff were on hand for the Pro Day event. Mitchell said, "A number of the NFL people here told me Matt (Judon) helped himself with the workout today."

Judon helped the Lakers reach the NCAA Division II playoff semifinals and was named the 2015 "Gene Upshaw Award" winner as the top lineman in Division II.
