Litton earns AP Achievement Award
Jo Ann Litton, assistant director for pre-professional advising, received the AP Achievement Award April 21 at the annual luncheon in the Kirkhof Center.
The award recognizes outstanding contributions by a staff member to the university, professional field and community. In her nomination letter, Betty Schaner, assistant dean of Advising and Student Services and director of the CLAS Advising Center, said Litton illustrates the spirit of the award throughout her work.
Schaner said Litton puts the student at the center of her decisions and focus. "Her depth and breadth of knowledge and experience with Grand Valley and her absolute commitment to the university mission serve as the foundation to her outreach and support of our students," Schaner wrote.
