Students creating survey for Children's Museum

Marketing students are working with the Grand Rapids Children's Museum and Family Friends Vet Hospital in Grand Rapids to help the organizations get feedback from their current and prospective customers.

The students have been asked to collect data from GRCM patrons on what they like about the museum and what community members would like the museum to offer. They will also collect customer satisfaction and new service ideas from pet owners for the vet hospital.

Adrienne Brown, marketing and events manager with the Children's Museum, and Alison Reimann, marketing specialist with the vet hospital, met with students February 2 to discuss the projects.

“This experience provides a great opportunity for our students to apply classroom theory to real-world situations,” said Kelly Cowart, assistant professor of marketing. “The students' work will play an important role in helping the Children's Museum and vet hospital continue to meet the needs of their blossoming communities."

The students will create an online survey, collect data from current and potential customers and present their findings in April.
