Grand Valley's Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies will host Brian Flanagan, director of the Sanger Leadership Center at the University of Michigan, at its next Wheelhouse Talk.

Flanagan, a Grand Valley and Notre Dame graduate, is the former associate director of the Hauenstein Center and the co-founder of the Cook Leadership Academy and its Wheelhouse Talks series.

The Wheelhouse Talks, hosted by the Hauenstein Center, feature cross-disciplinary leaders who share their personal leadership lessons and perspectives formed by their unique life experience. Previous speakers have included ArtPrize founder Rick DeVos, Grand Rapids' current and former mayors Rosalynn Bliss and George Heartwell, and former president and CEO of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Russ Mawby.

During his Wheelhouse Talk, Flanagan will discuss his role in developing future leaders through the Cook Leadership Academy at Grand Valley State University and through the Sanger Leadership Center, which develops thought leadership and experience-based learning initiatives for participating students.
