The fourth annual Teach-In will feature more than 60 sessions centered on social justice and inequality.

Sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, at the Kirkhof Center and the DeVos Center. Each 75-minute session was collaboratively created by teams of students, faculty and staff members, incorporating the theme "Power, Privilege and Difficult Dialogues." Presenters and descriptions of their sessions are posted online, click here

This marks the second year the Teach-In has been held during Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Week. Karen Gipson, chair of University Academic Senate and professor of physics, said the event was moved to January to "highlight the importance of an informed citizenry in social justice efforts."

Last year, more than 1,500 people attended or participated in Teach-In sessions.

The event is sponsored by University Academic Senate and Student Senate. Join the social media conversation about Teach-In by using #GVTeachIn17.
