State agriculture commissioners will hear a presentation February 22 from Alan Steinman, director of Grand Valley's Annis Water Resources Institute in Muskegon, on the institute's integrated watershed commission project.
Steinman will discuss the project, which looks at how the state's water resources can be managed in a more integrated fashion, using watersheds as the basis for management decisions.
The project is funded by the Mott, Frey and Muskegon Community foundations.
Steinman will be one of three speakers discussing water quality and water issues before the Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development in Lansing.
