The Grand Rapids "West Side Story" is a long-running venture built on collaboration. At an event sponsored by Grand Valley State University's Seidman College of Business, community leaders will share the story of how neighborhoods on the West Side have been transformed over the past 16 years.

The Peter F. Secchia Breakfast Lecture, "West Side Story," will be held November 29 at 8 a.m. in the L. William Seidman Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus; breakfast begins at 7:15 a.m.

Speakers include Mike VanGessel, president of Rockford Construction; Ryan VerWys, president and CEO of Inner City Christian Federation; and Matt McLogan, vice president for University Relations at Grand Valley.

The event will focus on partnerships and collaboration, as well as the social and economic impact of the West Side.
