GR 101: Students invited to explore Grand Rapids

Did you know that Grand Valley has a campus in the heart of Grand Rapids, the second-largest city in Michigan? Or that the city is about a 25-minute bus ride from the university's main campus in Allendale? 

Students are invited to learn more about downtown Grand Rapids during a special week, September 11-17. GR 101 is organized by local colleges and universities, including Grand Valley. Students can attend special events and receive college rates at cultural attractions, restaurants and businesses. 

Liz Collver, assistant director of Student Life, said GR 101 will help students acclimate with the downtown area and learn about the city's diverse offerings.
