More than 230 employers to attend fall career fair
Nearly 2,000 students are expected to attend Grand Valley's Fall Career Fair October 19 from 1-5 p.m. at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids.
The fair is free and open to college students and alumni seeking professional employment and internship opportunities. More than 230 employers are registered to attend and will represent a wide variety of disciplines within the business, non-profit and public sectors.
Participant pre-registration is not required but students should bring their student ID, along with their resume and portfolio.
The Career Center will host several events to help students prepare for the fair. "So You Think You Can Network" will take place October 10, 6-8 p.m., Seidman Center, room 1008. "How to Talk to Employers" will take place October 11, 4-5 p.m. in Kirkhof Center, room 2215.
The fair is sponsored by Grand Valley and supported by Aquinas College, Calvin College, Cornerstone University, Davenport University, Hope College, Kendall College of Art & Design and Kuyper College.
The Winter Career Fair will take place February 22.
