President Haas prepares for commencement

As commencement nears, Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas has been busy getting ready for the grand ceremonies April 28 and 29. 

Watch this fun video to see how T-Haas is preparing for the ceremonies, including rehearsing his speech, ironing his regalia and preparing to shake the hands of more than 3,000 students. 

Commencement ceremonies will take place at Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids. For the first time, commencement is expanding to three ceremonies to improve the overall experience for graduates and their families. The first ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday; second and third ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday. Read more here.
