Sustainability Week set for first week of October
Grand Valley's Campus Sustainability Week will kick off with an energy competition among living centers and a campus clean-up event hosted by the Student Environmental Coalition.
The week, October 1-7, will also feature film screenings, an upcycling event, the first annual Wellness Summit, a tour of the Solar Garden and more. Event highlights are below; a complete schedule can be found at www.gvsu.edu/sustainabililty.
Yumi Jakobcic, sustainability campus coordinator, hopes the week will inspire campus community members to live a more sustainable lifestyle after learning what's available on campus.
"Our campus can serve as a laboratory for sustainability best practices, and we hope the Grand Valley community will recognize and engage in all the meaningful opportunities it provides," she said.
