Globalization is transforming politics, economics and culture, but focusing solely on the global aspects of society risks overlooking the critical importance of understanding a much smaller geographic area: regions.
With this focus in mind, Grand Valley State University's Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies is hosting the Fourth Annual Midwestern History Conference on June 6, in partnership with the Midwestern History Association.
The conference will feature more than 150 panelists and keynote speakers on topics covering a broad range of Midwestern history subjects, including art, immigration, politics, religion, sports and more.
