William "Bill" Brooks, former Grand Valley trustee, died October 1 at age 85.
Brooks served on the Board of Trustees from 1997-1998. A well-known Detroit area business leader, Brooks served as General Motors' vice president of corporate affairs and chair of the General Motors Foundation, retiring in 1997.
