Grill challenge raises funds
Participants in the Summer Grill Challenge raised nearly $1,400 for campus organizations while opening Grand Valley's Farmers Market for the season.
The proceeds will be split evenly between Replenish, the student food pantry, and the Children's Enrichment Center.
Recipes prepared for the June 6 challenge are posted online; Facilities Services received the most votes for barbeque pork sliders.
The Farmers Market will open again Wednesday, June 13, from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., in parking lot G on the Allendale Campus.
