Leadership expert to celebrate Cook Leadership Academy graduation

Robert Quinn, one of America's highest-regarded leadership experts, will be the speaker at a Wheelhouse Talk hosted by the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies on April 26.

Quinn, a best-selling author and professor emeritus at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, will speak following a ceremony to honor 42 graduates of the Hauenstein Center's Cook Leadership Academy. The academy is a program designed to improve leadership skills in exceptional Grand Valley students. 

Quinn will share his personal and professional leadership lessons with Cook Leadership Academy fellows and the community at large. His research and teaching interests focus on organizational change, leadership and effectiveness.

Quinn holds the Margaret Elliot Tracey Collegiate Professorship at the University of Michigan and serves on the faculty of Organization and Management at the Ross School of Business. 

He is the best-selling author of Deep Change, which has sold more than 100,000 copies.

The Hauenstein Center’s Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy is a leadership development program for 60+ undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year. The program is co-curricular and cross-disciplinary — this year representing 52 different areas of study — and it provides numerous opportunities for student fellows to develop leadership excellence.
