Newest Lakers share 'Decision Day' excitement on social media

On National College Decision Day, which took place May 1, high school seniors across the country shared their excitement for reaching an important milestone in their lives: getting accepted into college. 

Many new Lakers used social media to share their decision to attend Grand Valley. 

Austin Marsman tweeted, "I made it official a while back, but I truly can't wait to attend @GVSU!"

Twitter user Kelsi Marie said, "Excited to be a Laker for the next four years (and for a lifetime)."

Instagram user Martha Mendez said, "From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew I was home."

Orientation for the Class of 2022 kicked off Tuesday, May 8. From May-August, thousands of Lakers will prepare for the fall semester by registering for classes, learning about campus resources and meeting Grand Valley students, faculty and staff members.
