Snyder appointments to state Board of Nursing have GVSU connections
Two people with connections to Grand Valley were appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder to the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Scott Richardson, vice president for Administrative Services, and Jason Puscas, who graduated from Grand Valley in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in political science, were appointed to four-year terms expiring in 2022. Puscas is the director of government relations for the Detroit Regional Chamber.
Richardson and Puscas join the 24-member board that is responsible for establishing qualifications for nurse licensure, approving standards for nurse education programs and taking disciplinary action against licensees when the health and safety of the public has been affected.
The board is housed under the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
