Soccer, football games carried live this weekend

Two Laker athletic games will be broadcast live this weekend. Soccer and football games will be broadcast on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m., respectively.
• Friday: The No. 1-ranked GVSU soccer team wraps up its regular season when the Lakers host Davenport at home. The Lakers carry a 16-0-1 record and an 11-game winning streak into the contest. Their 8-0 record in conference recently secured their 14th consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular season championship.
The game will be webcast live on gvsulakers.com.
• Saturday: The Laker football team will take on rival Saginaw Valley State in the “Battle of the Valleys” game in Saginaw. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3. The No. 9-ranked Lakers come into the game with a 7-1 overall record. They are 4-1 in GLIAC play.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and is available to ESPN subscribers via ESPN.com or compatible mobile applications.
