Sixty collaborative presentations are scheduled for the sixth annual Teach-In, set for Wednesday and Thursday, November 7-8.

New this year, all Wednesday sessions will be held at the DeVos Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus, and Thursday sessions will be held in the Kirkhof Center on the Allendale Campus. Sessions and times are posted online.

More than 1,600 people participated during last year's Teach-In. John Bender, professor of chemistry and chair of the equity and inclusion committee of University Academic Senate, said organizers hope for a similar turn-out.

"We hope the 2018 Teach-In is another eye-opening experience for participants, shedding light on previous unknowns in social justice, and kindling the flame within," Bender said.

Teach-In is sponsored by Student Senate and the UAS Equity and Inclusion Committee, with support from the divisions of Inclusion and Equity and Student Services.
