For the first time, the Civic Engagement Showcase and Laker Effect Challenge will be held on the same day, April 11.
Travus Burton, director for Civic Learning and Community Engagement, said the full-day celebration recognizes the past, present and future engagements of students, faculty and staff members, and community partners.
Both events will be held at the DeVos Center, the showcase will run from 2-4:30 p.m. and the Laker Effect Challenge from 6-8 p.m. A reception will be held between the events in the exhibition hall.
Proposals to participate in both the Laker Effect Challenge and Civic Engagement Showcase are being accepted; visit gvsu.edu/community for details on both the showcase and challenge.
