Grand Valley will begin its second cohort of a unique digital marketing professional development program that offers industry-recognized certification in platforms like Google Analytics and HubSpot.

The program will begin September 3. Offered by the Center for Adult and Continuing Studies, it's operated in partnership with GreenFig, an Oregon company that offers professional development in applied business science. The four-month-long curriculum consists of virtual live and online content, as well as in-person small group work, networking and collaboration opportunities.

Amanda Welsh is an account manager for Reagan Marketing + Design in Grand Rapids, and consults with clients and creates strategic communications and marketing plans. She completed the digital marketing program in January and said its curriculum was well-rounded and offered exposure to digital concepts, trends, applications and programs.

"I gained experience and certifications in programs such as HubSpot email marketing, Google Analytics and Google Adwords," Welsh said. "It was more valuable to me that I gained additional digital awareness to be able to better articulate my thoughts and ask the right questions, and have more confidence in the digital landscape and solutions I can bring to the table for my clients and projects."

Certifications in the program are offered in Google Analytics, Google Ads and HubSpot Email, and participants receive exposure to platforms like Marketo and TradeDesk. Details and a link to register for the program are online at www.gvsu.greenfig.net.
