Global Laker event raises funds for scholarships

The Padnos International Center will host the seventh annual Global Laker Celebration on November 1 at The B.O.B., 20 Monroe Ave. NW in Grand Rapids.
The event, from 7-10 p.m., serves a fundraiser for study abroad scholarships. RSVP online at gvsu.edu/pic/rsvp19 before October 18.
Music by Grupo Ayé, an Afro-Caribbean/Latin jazz band, is planned, in addition to a dinner buffet and cash bar. Tickets are $25 for students, $35 for non-students before October 18.
