Hundreds of Lakers are expected to participate in the 10th annual Community Outreach Week, set for March 23-30.
Sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Community Service Learning Center, groups or individuals can volunteer to assist an existing project or create a new project that other Lakers can join. Nearly 40 projects throughout the country are posted online at gvsu.edu/cow.
Individuals who volunteer during COW can record their activity hours on the website.
Last year, more than 700 volunteers participated. Chris Barbee, director of Alumni Relations, said it was a record setting year for number of regional clubs hosting events and more students volunteering than ever before.
