Grand Valley's soccer team will open its 2019 season at home on Thursday, September 5, with a match against Rollins College. The 7:30 p.m. will be carried live on ESPN3.
The Lakers finished 25-1-1 last season, losing only in the NCAA Division II championship game against Bridgeport. GVSU was the unanimous No. 1 pick in the GLIAC preseason coaches' poll; the team returns three All-Americans and a majority of its players from last season.
Rollins College enters the game with an exhibition win over Stetson University.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and is available to ESPN subscribers via ESPN.com or the ESPN app.
