Hospital leaders, state medical director will offer message about COVID-19 mitigation during virtual event

The State of Michigan medical director and chief medical officers from West Michigan hospitals will offer a unified community message addressing mitigation of COVID-19 during a Health Forum of West Michigan event on Friday, November 6, from 8-9:30 a.m. 

The panelists also will discuss hospital response, collaboration and planning for COVID-19 during “Delivery of Health Care During a Pandemic.” Health Forum of West Michigan events are hosted by Grand Valley’s Office of the Vice Provost for Health; the monthly events are free and open to the public. Register online before November 4, participants will be sent a Zoom link.

Panelists are Drs. William Fales, state medical director; Matthew Biersack, chief medical officer, Mercy Health Saint Mary’s; Joshua Kooistra, senior vice president and chief medical officer, Spectrum Health West Michigan; and Ronald Grifka, chief medical officer, Metro Health/University of Michigan Health.
